Use our Quick Guide on documents, records, and cases to keep track of how they are related.

Documents are always attached to records in F2, and you work with documents via the record. Attached documents include Word, Excel, and PDF files.

Each record has a record document that you can edit in the record window’s editing pane.

Options for document work

You have various options for working with documents in F2:

Attach documents: You can attach documents to a record by e.g. creating a new document from a template, attaching existing documents or records from F2, or attaching a file located outside F2.

Preview documents: When you select a document in the record’s document area, you can see a preview of the document. In the document’s context menu, you can find functions for editing and working with the document.

Edit documents: Double-click on a document to edit it. If your colleague is in the process of editing the document, you can take over the document.
