F2 Accessibility and shortcuts
Digital accessibility is a collective term for tools that make it easier for users to navigate digitally. Accessibility is especially relevant to users who are blind or partially sighted, and to users with motor disabilities, older users, and deaf users.
Digital accessibility comprises the use of screen readers and magnification software as well as navigation without a mouse. Microsoft Windows contains a range of accessibility features that you can use in F2.
Accessibility in F2
Accessibility settings: Set up F2 to better support accessibility. You can also use screen reader software, such as JAWS. However, JAWS requires a special setup to function optimally with F2. |
|
Accessibility functions: Customise the "Quick access" toolbar and read about tooltips, context menus, and accessibility in selected fields. |
|
Keyboard shortcuts: Navigate and perform typical actions in F2 using keyboard shortcuts. See this list of all keyboard shortcuts. |
Compatibility with Windows' accessibility and screen reader
cBrain utilises the Windows Presentation Foundation framework (WPF) for developing F2 Desktop’s user interface. This means that you can use Microsoft Windows' screen reader, which is included in Windows 10, with F2. You can also use a range of other Windows functions that improve accessibility, such as the Magnifier and High contrast. While F2 is not directly tailored to the functions in Windows' Ease of Access, it is compatible with most of them.
cBrain has tested elements of the F2 software thoroughly, but since external software and content can be configured in many different ways, cBrain cannot assume responsibility for their use. |
