Menu items on the main window ribbon

The content of this website is last updated to F2 version 11. cBrain are working hard on supplying you with the newest documentation of F2.

The "Main window" tab contains menu items for navigation and performing various actions. Among other things you can process and manage your records, perform searches and use different channels of communication.

You can adjust the ribbon in the "Customise toolbar and ribbon" window.

All menu items on the main window ribbon are described below. Your F2 may look different depending on the setup of your organisation’s F2 solution.

The menu items on the main window ribbon are divided into groups. The following table describes each menu group.

Function Description

navigation menu item

Use the Go to case and Go to record menu items to navigate between your open case and record windows.

Click the drop-down menus to see your open cases and records.

The Go to case and Go to record menu items become active when you open a case or a record, respectively.

new record menu item

Click on New record to open the "New record" dialogue. Here you must enter a title for the record, and you can attach it to a case or create a new case.

Click on New chat to open a new chat on the record selected in the result list.

In the dropdown menu, you can also choose New chat to all, which automatically adds all internal participants on the selected record as participants in a new chat conversation.

Finally, you can add a New note to the record or case you have selected.

reply menu item group

Use the "Reply" menu group to reply to and forward records you received as emails.

In the "Reply" drop-down menu, you can select Reply and include attachments to include all attached documents from the original email in your reply to the sender.

A similar function is found in the "Reply all" drop-down menu, which sends your reply including all attached documents from the original email to the sender and any other recipients of the original email.

Click on Open in calendar to open calendar invitations in an associated external calendar.

Use the "Remove" menu group to archive, delete, and remove records from the selected list.

The menu items in the "Me" group lets you manage records on a personal level.

The menu items in the group with your unit’s name lets you manage records on a unit level.

print menu item group

The "Print" drop-down menu lets you choose between two print functions.

Click on Print to print the record document as a PDF file. The content of the PDF file is determined by a template that can be configured in cooperation with cBrain.

Click on Print attachment to print the record’s attached document(s). The menu item is activated when you click on one of the record’s attached documents in the main window preview.

search menu item group

Use the "Search" menu group to perform an advanced search or to view your search history.

calendar menu item group

Click on Open calendar to access your associated external calendar, if any.

Click the Show all personal reminders menu item to open the "Personal reminders" dialogue.

csearch menu item

cSearch is an expanded, intelligent search engine for the general search functions in F2. Read a detailed description of its functions and scope here.
