F2 Basics

  • The "Settings" dialogue has been renamed to "Personal settings" and has received a new and improved design where it is possible to search for settings.

  • A new dialogue has been added when resetting global standard column layout. After clicking "Yes" to reset the settings, the new dialogue asks whether the current column layout should also be reset.

  • The text in the dialogues "Add records to case" and "Suggested changes when saving a record", which are displayed in connection with case help, has been updated to reflect more clearly when the user deactivates case help. Furthermore, the button that disables case help has been moved to the far right in the dialogues to follow F2’s default button layout.

  • The design of the dialogue displaying system messages has been improved and now displays when the message was sent, among other things.

  • There are extended possibilities for configuring whether fields in the "Participant properties" dialogue should be visible and editable. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

  • Logging to the "PerformanceLog" database table is now performed asynchronously to avoid affecting performance further when F2’s servers are under heavy load.

  • Performance has been improved when generating server log files.

  • A new underlying technology has been introduced to concatenate PDFs, extract page numbers, and create bookmarks in PDFs.

  • The scrollbar has a new design. You can now scroll horizontally by holding down the Shift key while scrolling. This applies to several places in the main, case, and record windows.

  • The "Set up the toolbar and the ribbon" dialogue has a new and improved design.

  • A configuration makes it possible to include the "New case with identical metadata" menu item in the main window’s context menu. A case without records is created, containing the same metadata as the case that is right-clicked on. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

  • The dialogue displayed when saving a new search has been improved with new buttons and more informative text. The dialogue now displays the list that the search is based on and an info icon showing the search criteria.

  • It is possible to select "Reply all" and "Reply all and include attachments" in the context menu of the main window.

  • Filtering fields in "Case templates", "Phrase administration", "File upload", and "F2 settings" now have a watermarked text explaining which filtering field is being referred to.

  • Tooltips for participants, for example in chats and record previews, have been improved and also display the user’s roles.

  • The setting "Use new record editor" has been renamed to "Use new text editor in record documents". Spell-checking is no longer available if you use the old text editor program in record documents.

  • The buttons "OK" in the "Select participant" dialogue and "Add participant(s)" in the "Select participants" dialogue are now also active when selecting elements such as units or record participants in the lists to the left in the dialogues.

  • The result list in the "Document versions" window has been updated with a more modern design.

  • Adobe Acrobat Reader is no longer required for printing documents.

  • The dialogue "Participants do not have access to the record" has a new and improved design.

  • The "New case" dialogue has a new and improved design. There are now larger buttons, and radio buttons have been replaced by a drop-down menu.

  • A configuration makes it possible to insert a link in the "New record" dialogue, e.g. to the organisation’s naming guidelines. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

  • The confirmation dialogue that appears when recovering a record now explains that the record can be found in "My archive" and lets you open the record after recovery.

  • The "Delete document?" dialogue in the record window has been updated with new text, and you can create a new version of the record before deleting the document.

  • The "Matches search text" column has been added to the result list to improve accessibility. Previously, only a colour was used to indicate whether the record matches the search criteria.

  • The favourite icon, which for example appears on the "Favourites" list to the left in the main window, has a new colour with higher contrast.

  • The note icon, which for example appears on records in the result list, has a new colour with higher contrast.

  • Performance has been improved when opening the "New case" window on systems with many case templates.

  • The advanced search fields "To" and "From" in the "Delivery" search group now provide more relevant auto-complete suggestions.

  • F2 now displays a more accurate header in the dialogue about unsaved changes when closing a record.

  • The "Attach as PDF" function now follows the system setting for whether PDFs are added at the top or bottom of the document list for records.

  • It is possible to add notes to records and cases via the context menu in the main and case windows.

  • It is possible for F2 to handle email addresses containing special characters.

  • It is possible to set up "on behalf of" rights for a deactivated user. It is no longer necessary to reactivate the user.

  • F2 no longer displays an error message if the PDF versions of documents are not ready when sending via email. F2 now waits until the documents are ready and then sends them.

  • The "Team administrator" privilege has been replaced by "Team creator", which grants rights to create and edit all teams across the authority.

  • A banner with the text "Private email" is displayed in the "New email" window when you create an email from "My private records".

  • The dialogue that appears when another user cancels your editing of a document has a new icon and more accurate text.

  • It is possible to open a list in a new search tab by clicking on it with the mouse wheel.

  • The "Properties" dialogue for documents has a new and more user-friendly design.

  • The dialogue that appears when clicking on "New document from template" in a record with unsaved changes has been improved. You can also select "Do not ask me again" in the dialogue.

  • You are now asked to confirm when removing one or more records from a case. The function can be turned on and off via your personal settings.

  • The dialogue that appears when another user takes over your editing of a record has a new icon and a new name. It is now called "Another user has taken over the record".

  • The "Show more fields" button for displaying the case’s extended fields has been moved to the case window ribbon.

  • Search tabs in the main window can now be moved with drag and drop. The first search tab is locked.

  • It is possible to display a tooltip with the full text if a text in the result list is truncated because the column is too narrow to display the full text.

  • The "F2 settings" window has been improved so the window opens immediately, and a spinner is displayed while data is being retrieved.

  • The dialogue that appears when a case has unsaved changes and you send a note has been updated with a new icon and more user-friendly text.

  • The dialogue that appears when another user has taken over the editing of a record and subsequently saved their changes has been improved. It is now called "Record cannot be saved" and has a new icon, new buttons, and more accurate text.

  • The ribbon in the "Document templates" window has new buttons for creating, renaming, and deleting folders for document templates.

  • The dialogues that appear when creating a PDF of a record or an adjusted PDF of a record with unsaved changes have been improved. They have new icons, titles, and text. Additionally, the dialogues have new buttons with several types of actions.

  • The dialogue that appears when sending a chat or note on a record with unsaved changes has been improved with a new design and new buttons with several types of actions.

  • There are now help texts on the context menu functions "Create folder", "Rename folder", and "Delete folder" for personal folders in the list view to the left in the main window.

  • Notification messages in the result list are now always displayed in your selected language instead of the sender’s language. This applies to notifications created in version 12 and later.

F2 Touch

  • It is possible to start F2 Touch on iOS in offline mode.

  • F2 Touch now combines PDF files with the same settings you have chosen in F2 Desktop.

F2 Manager 2

  • A more accurate error message is displayed if you try to edit an ad hoc meeting that contains one or more records you do not have access to.

F2’s help tools

  • Tooltips for buttons in the "Navigation" menu group on the ribbon in the main, case, and record windows have been improved.

F2 Accessibility and shortcuts

  • You can now navigate through the list view in the main window using the keyboard arrow keys without automatically activating the search lists. It requires a tap on the space bar to open the selected list. If you are using extended accessibility, searches are now performed in the lists when they are selected with the space bar.

  • There is a higher contrast between suggested participants and the background colour on selected elements in fields with auto-complete under an advanced search.

  • Screen readers can now read numbering and approval step deadlines.

  • A tooltip has been added to the "Delete step" button on approvals and approval templates.

  • Screen reading has been improved in case guides in connection with asynchronous actions.

  • Screen readers can now read the "Who can see the request?" field in the request window.

  • Tab descriptions have been improved for screen readers in the following dialogues:

    • "Customise toolbar and ribbon"

    • "Set up the toolbar and the ribbon" in default settings

    • "Edit F2 Manager display order" on the gateway approval tab.

  • The drop-down menu for selecting an approval template in the "New record" dialogue now has focus. When clicking on "Remove approval", focus changes to the "Title" field. The elements are then automatically read out by screen readers. This applies to the old design of the "New record" dialogue.

  • It is possible to use the Enter key as a shortcut to save your setup in the "Customise toolbar and ribbon" dialogue.

  • The first element in the case help window now automatically has focus and is read out by screen readers.

  • After a search with no results, screen readers can now read the text "Your search returned no results".

Add-in for Microsoft Outlook: Register emails in F2

  • This new add-in programme enables the manual transfer and registration of emails from Outlook to F2. They are created as records, and it is possible to add them to cases as well as select access levels directly from Outlook.

Add-in for Microsoft Word: Merge fields

  • This new add-in programme makes it possible to search for and insert merge fields into documents directly from a sidebar in Word.

Administrator approvals

  • The new F2 Administrator approvals module lets you protect the allocation of selected user rights with an approval. The module enables greater control and logging of which rights users are allocated in F2.

AI Assistant

  • F2 AI Assistant now shows a message when you click on a prompt before F2 has prepared the document.

  • Performance has been improved for F2 AI Assistant, and the reply is now generated continuously in the "F2 AI Assistant reply" window.

  • The "F2 AI Assistant reply" text field has been improved and is able to display formatted text.

  • The "F2 AI Assistant" window has a button that allows you to clear the "Request fine-tuning" field.

Approvals

  • It is possible to specify relative deadlines on approval templates. Relative deadlines are dynamic deadlines based on when a specific action takes place.

  • Deactivated users are now displayed on approval templates and in approval processes. F2 displays a warning dialogue before you start an approval process that contains deactivated users.

  • The dialogue displayed when there are unsaved changes to a record or approval document, followed by changes to an approval action, has been updated with a new icon and more user-friendly text.

Case templates editor

  • Using merge codes, it is possible to merge record titles into case titles on cases created with a case template. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

  • It is possible to set up case templates to create cases automatically when receiving an external request.

  • The layout has been improved in the dialogues "New installation reference" and "Update installation reference".

  • Performance has been improved when creating and updating installation references so F2 does not freeze temporarily.

  • It is possible to define extra columns and search criteria on nodes in the participant register created with a search template.

Digital Post (e-Boks)

  • F2 no longer displays an error message if the PDF versions of documents are not ready when sending via Digital Post (e-Boks). F2 now waits until the documents are ready and then sends them.

Digital Post (Next generation)

  • F2 no longer displays an error message if the PDF versions of documents are not ready when sending via Digital Post. F2 now waits until the documents are ready and then sends them.

File upload

  • The file upload report is now more detailed. It shows which user performed the action as well as more information about both the action and the result.

FOI Request

  • A new underlying technology has been introduced to generate FOI request reports. This means that the content table’s links are clickable, among other things.

FOI Request, Advanced

  • It is now possible to anonymise documents directly from F2 using Cleardox or other third-party tools.

Merge codes

  • A configuration makes it possible to automatically add a keyword to an original record when using the "Merge with case participants" function with the F2 Merge codes module. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

Output manager

  • F2 no longer displays an error message if the PDF versions of documents are not ready when sending via output manager. F2 now waits until the documents are ready and then sends them.

F2 REST

  • When changes are made to F2 Desktop via F2 REST, it is registered which REST client made the changes.

Request

  • It is possible to send a request to a new recipient after the initial recipient has accepted the request.

  • Several texts have been changed in the old request design so it is clear that the user specified in the "Return to" field always receives notifications when a request is executed.

  • It is now possible to remove answer records from cancelled requests.

  • It is possible to access the functions "Accept request", "Forward request", "Change executor", and "Select answer record" from the context menu when the result list is displayed as requests.

Security

  • A number of improvements have been made to the information security for participants. This includes removing the CPR column, which appeared in the participant register, for example.

  • Third-party libraries in F2 Desktop have been updated to close potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Third-party libraries in F2 Analytics have been updated to provide access to new functionality and close potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Third-party libraries related to F2’s text editor have been updated to close potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Third-party libraries in F2 Touch have been updated to close potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Third-party libraries in F2 Manager 2 have been updated to provide access to new functionality and close potential security vulnerabilities.

  • Third-party libraries related to F2’s chat function have been updated to provide access to new functionality and close potential security vulnerabilities.

Service Builder

  • Case guides created with F2 Service Builder can be configured to support F2 Analytics and search templates. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

  • It is possible to display a field from a self-service solution in task layouts in case guides.

  • The visibility of a task can be controlled on the "Case guide" tab in the design template.

  • It is possible to use cell references as well as named cells on the calculation tab. A cell reference corresponds to a cell’s coordinates in a sheet, for example "A1" or "B12".

Share externally

  • It is possible for an external participant to download or upload files to records in F2 that are too large to send by email. Sharing is done by creating a download or upload link in the "Share externally" menu group in the record window. The external participant must have an email address and a phone number to use the links.

Shared mailboxes

  • In the "Change role" dialogue, the first element in the list is now automatically selected making it quicker to switch roles.

  • The dialogues displayed when changing roles have been improved with new titles, icons, and text. This includes the dialogues displayed when errors occur during role change.

Task guides

  • Performance has been improved for panels in case guides.

  • Performance has been improved when loading case guides.

  • The message displayed when a task description in a case guide is too long is more accurate.

Web Tabs

  • It is possible to display the "Web Tabs" tab in the main, record, and case windows. On this tab, the organisation can create buttons linking directly to websites such as a subject-specific database. Configurations are performed in cooperation with cBrain.

Working hours

  • The new F2 Working hours module makes it possible to define working hours for the organisation and prevent users from receiving notifications in their inbox outside of working hours. Notifications can be forced outside of working hours by using "Expedite" mode.
