Bugs we have fixed in version 12.1.

F2 Basics

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 Desktop to close unexpectedly the first time a document was opened for editing after startup. The error occurred on Windows 11.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the timeout for login sessions to be longer than allowed.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the help text in the result list before a search to remain visible after a search was initiated.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause more than one record to be created when quickly pressing "Enter" multiple times in the "New record" dialogue.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented auto-complete from registering the entry of an email address in the "From" advanced search field if the email address was already associated with a participant.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause column names in the result list to be unnecessarily shortened when they weren’t sorted after.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the result list’s sorting to function differently whether auto-grouping was enabled or not.

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 to switch to the case window’s first tab "Case" after certain actions. The error occurred, for example, after switching to or from Remote Desktop and after changes to Windows' high contrast settings.

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 to have a white background when opening the "Properties" dialogue for documents.

  • Fixed a bug that in some instances prevented a Word document from being foregrounded when opened from F2. The error occurred if the document was opened in edit mode, then minimised, and later attempted to be opened in edit mode again from F2.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented subordinate case relations from being updated after being edited via the "Related cases" dialogue.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed you to still see parts of the chat window, even after another user had deleted the chat.

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 to close unexpectedly when previewing an external email attached as a record attachment. The error occurred when the setting "Use new text editor in record documents" was disabled.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented an external email attached as a record attachment from being displayed in the preview.

  • Fixed a bug that caused search lists in the main window to scroll to an earlier position when adding a case as a folder via drag and drop.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the installation of F2 Desktop with F2ClickOnceHelper to return an incorrect status.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the AdXmlImporter programme from assigning roles with the privilege "F2 AI Assistant admin" or "F2 AI Assistant user".

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the title of a search list from appearing in the notification displayed when a search for participants yielded more results than the selected limit. The error occurred when notifications about search results were enabled.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed deleting a unit that appeared in record or case metadata but had no active users. Now the unit is deactivated instead of deleted.

  • Fixed a bug that caused a search in the "Document templates" dialogue to retrieve an earlier version of a document template if the search matched it. Now only current versions are retrieved.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented new users from being assigned default "Ribbon settings".

  • Fixed a rare bug that could cause F2 to close unexpectedly while customising the ribbon in the "Customise toolbar and ribbon" dialogue.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented certain menu groups hidden in the ribbon from being displayed when they were added to the ribbon again. The error occurred for menu groups with a single menu item.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause right-clicking on a search list in the main window to scroll back to the previously selected search list and open the context menu for it.

  • Fixed typos and spelling mistakes in the user interface.

  • Fixed a bug that disallowed certain special characters, such as letters with umlauts, in fields with auto-complete unless they were entered quickly.

F2 Touch

  • Fixed a bug that caused a supplementary case manager to be added multiple times to the same record.

F2 Manager 2

  • Fixed a rare bug that caused F2 Desktop to close unexpectedly when opening the "F2 Manager" tab in the case window.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed others besides the active approver to annotate approvals if the approval was received via a chat.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the "Show annotations" and "Hide annotations" buttons to display an incorrect value.

Administrator approvals

  • Fixed a bug that could cause F2 to close unexpectedly when cancelling a change to the administrator approval for allocating "on behalf of" rights.

Analytics

  • Fixed a bug that caused the "Role type log" report type with the "Privileges" configuration to display an incorrect description of certain privileges.

  • Fixed a bug that allowed default and custom report configurations to be deleted.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the "Cases without records" report type from being used. The error occurred because two columns had the same name.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the correct button from being in focus when opening certain dialogues such as "Delete report configuration" and "Show report".

  • Fixed a bug that in some instances prevented the name of a selected column from being legible when creating a new report configuration.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented the selection of a report configuration in the "F2 Analytics" window directly after it had been copied.

  • Fixed a bug that caused a row with a report configuration to be only partially selected when switching between report configurations in the "F2 Analytics" window.

Case template editor

  • F2 now clearly shows when an installation reference is invalid. Invalid installation references and case templates with invalid installation references are highlighted in red. If you perform an action that makes an installation reference invalid, F2 displays a warning, for example if you deactivate a keyword used in an installation reference.

Data cleanup

  • Fixed a bug that drastically increased report generation time after a cleanup search if the cases from the cleanup search had case guides.

Digital Post (Next generation)

  • Fixed a bug that prevented incoming replies to Digital Post sent from F2 from being automatically linked to the original record as a reply and from appearing in the original sender’s inbox. The error occurred if at the time of dispatch, F2 was set up to send Digital Post that could not be replied to. The bug fix affects incoming replies from version 12.1 and later.

FOI Request, Advanced

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 to close unexpectedly when an original document was marked as "Exclude" on the "FOI request" tab, and a record with an identical document was subsequently removed from the FOI request case.

  • Fixed a bug that could cause the table of contents in an FOI request to display incorrect page numbers.

Metadata Remover

  • Fixed a bug that caused the Metadata Remover to fail if a document’s metadata could not be removed.

REST

  • Fixed a bug that could cause F2 REST to fail unexpectedly with the error message: "JSON parsing error when storing taskguide fields".

Search templates

  • Fixed a bug that caused columns from one search list to remain visible in the "Select columns" dialogue after switching to another search list.

  • Fixed a bug that caused columns from search templates to be grouped without title in the "Select columns" dialogue.

  • Fixed a bug that caused F2 to close unexpectedly if a search template had multiple columns with the same title or a title identical to a standard column.

Task guides

  • Fixed a rare bug that in some instances caused data loss in case guides when concurrent edits were made to case guide data via F2 REST and asynchronous web transactions.

  • Fixed a bug that caused the action task log in case guides to be allocated too little space.

  • Fixed a bug that caused tables in case guides to be updated incorrectly after data was retrieved from an external system.

  • Fixed typos in texts related to case guides.

Working hours

  • Fixed a bug that could cause records processed outside working hours to take several minutes to reach the relevant users' inboxes after entering working hours.
