F2 Manager configuration options

The content of this website is last updated to F2 version 13. cBrain are working hard on supplying you with the newest documentation of F2. In the meantime you can read about the latest features and changes in our release notes.

F2 Manager can be configured to fit the needs of the individual organisation. The following can be configured in cooperation with cBrain:

  • Restrict a user’s access to F2 so they can only log in through F2 Manager. This means that the user cannot log in through F2 Desktop or F2 Touch.

  • Restrict users' login to F2 Manager and F2 Manager Intune so they can only log in through Microsoft Authentication Library (MSAL). This requires AD FS login to be enabled and selected as the preferred login method on the user’s iPad.

  • Configure F2 so ministers can only be added to meetings by users with the “On behalf of minister” standard role. The same can be configured for permanent secretaries and the “On behalf of permanent secretary” standard role.

  • Determine whether the default value (Automatically/Manually) for adding records to ad hoc meetings applies to all users.

  • Set default synchronisation times for F2 Manager. The default times are inserted when a user ticks the "Activated" box on the "F2 Manager" tab.

  • Choose the approval processing options available to an F2 Manager user who is a gated approver. The user can either have full access to all return options and choose the return recipient, or only be able to return or approve conditionally.

  • Select the number of days that approvals received for copy orientation remain in F2 Manager. The default is 30 days.

  • Configure chat-oriented approvals to remain in F2 Manager after final approval. If this configuration is enabled, select the number of days they should remain. The default is seven days.

  • Enable the Send directly processing option in F2 Manager. Send directly enables an F2 Manager user who is the gated approver on the final step to grant final approval and bypass the gatekeeper, even if the "Skip gate on approval" box is not ticked on the "Gateway approvals" tab.

  • Select how approval documents are displayed. By default, record and approval documents are shown as a single combined document, but it is also possible to display them separately.

  • Select the number of days covered by the approval history. The synchronisation time may increase as a consequence of the increased amount of data.

  • Select how the title of an annotated document refers to the user who made the annotations. By default, the user’s initials (as specified in the user’s properties) are used, but it is also possible to use the user’s full name, for example.

  • Disable the automatic quick guide in F2 Manager.

The list of possible configurations above is not necessarily exhaustive. F2 is configured in cooperation with cBrain.
