Case participants and templates

The content of this website is last updated to F2 version 13. cBrain are working hard on supplying you with the newest documentation of F2. In the meantime you can read about the latest features and changes in our release notes.

You can add a participant to the case containing the approval record. F2 then adds the case participant as a recipient on the record that is automatically created upon final approval. If the case containing the approval record has multiple participants, F2 creates one record per participant upon final approval. You can also use merge codes for case participants in the document template.

Add case participants to the “Case participants” metadata field in the case window.

You can also add case participants during case creation using a case template. When creating a new case, you can select a case template in which specific case fields, such as “Case participants”, are pre-filled or mandatory.

When creating a case from a received email, such as a citizen inquiry, you can set up a case template that automatically adds the email sender to the “Case participants” field in the “New case” dialogue.

You can also add case participants manually in the “New case” dialogue if the “Case participants” field is visible in the case template.

The sender must exist as a participant in F2’s participant register before they can be added as a case participant.

Set up case template

Set up a case template for F2 Signed Approval by adding an installation reference of the “Sender” type to the “Case participants” field in the case template. This type can only be used in the “Case participants” field. Complete the remaining fields in the case template according to your organisation’s needs.
